The Role\ N
An established UK construction and fit-out contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a commercial refurbishment project in Kilmarnock.\ N The project forms part of an ongoing programme of high-street banking refurbishment and fit-out works, requiring a Site Manager with strong experience of delivering fast-paced commercial interiors and refurbishment projects to demanding programmes and quality standards.\ N
The successful candidate will take day-to-day responsibility for the site, coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades while ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.\ N
Key Responsibilities\ N
Take full day-to-day responsibility for the management of the site.\ N Manage and coordinate subcontractors, specialist trades, suppliers and site activities.\ N Deliver works in accordance with the agreed construction programme.\ N Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and client quality standards.\ N Coordinate strip-out, refurbishment, internal finishes and fit-out packages.\ N Manage site logistics, deliveries and access.\ N Maintain high standardsof health & safety throughout the project.\ N Carry out inductions, toolbox talks and site briefings.\ N Maintain accurate site records, diaries and progress reports.\ N Monitor subcontractor performance and quality of workmanship.\ N Liaise with the ProjectManager, client representatives, consultants and wider project team.\ N Identify potential programme issues and implement practical solutions.\ N Manage snagging, defects and close-out through to successful handover.\ N Maintain a professionalsite environment, particularly where works interface with operational or public-facing areas.\ N
Candidate Requirements\ N
Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.\ N Strong background in commercial fit-out and refurbishment.\ N Previous experience delivering retail, banking, office or other fast-track commercial interiors projects would be highly advantageous.\ N Experience managing multiple subcontractors and specialist trades.\ N Strong understanding offit-out sequencing and finishing trades.\ N Excellent organisational and programme-management skills.\ N Strong client-facing and communication skills.\ N Good knowledge of construction health & safety requirements.\ N Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.\ N SMSTS.
CSCS.\ N First Aid certification.\ N
