We are seeking a dedicated Residential Conveyancer to join our team, offering flexibility with a hybrid (2 days a week) and/or fully office-based working arrangement. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing property transactions from instruction through to completion, ensuring smooth and efficient conveyancing processes. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to develop their career within residential property law, working in a supportive environment that values organisational skills and clear communication. The role could have the opportunity to develop into departmental management and the potential for Director status if desired.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
- Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Prepare and review legal documentation such as contracts, transfer deeds, and SDLT forms.
- Conduct property searches, enquiries, and liaise with external authorities as required.
- Ensure all transactions comply with current legislation and internal quality standards.
- Keep clients informed of progress throughout the conveyancing process via phone or email.
- Organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of service.
- Maintain accurate case files and utilise IT systems effectively for case management.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with clients and external professionals.
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to conveyancing practice, including case management software.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple transactions simultaneously whilst adhering to deadlines.
