The Role
We are seeking a skilled and professional Project Works Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical installations, maintenance, and renewable energy solutions across VIP residential properties, corporate head offices, and regional branches. This role demands technical excellence, discretion and adaptability, with regular travel from our Gloucester branch and occasional overnight stays.
Responsibilities
- Carry out full electrical installations in high-end residential properties, including the private residences of company directors.
- Works include advanced lighting systems, EV chargers, photovoltaic (PV) systems, and power distribution infrastructure β all delivered with discretion, professionalism, and the highest standards of finish.
- Install, test, and commission electrical systems in corporate head offices, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Carry out electrical works across company-owned branches, supporting infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and project installations in operational environments.
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure clarity on scope, timelines, and specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to deliver compliant, efficient installations.
- Investigate and arrange materials in advance of project start dates.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and any deviations from planned scope.
- Produce detailed reports to support quotations and project planning.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold the below qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- AM2
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent) β training available for suitable candidates
- ECS Gold Card
- Proven experience in domestic and commercial electrical works including heating systems, TV/Satellite and ventilation
- Professional, discreet, and client-focused
- Calm and logical approach to fault-finding
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and environments
- Committed to maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
