We are looking for a HR Director UK & ROI to partner with the Regional Leadership teams across a complex matrix organisation to shape and implement the HR strategy to support the business objectives, driving a culture of inclusion, high performance and employee engagement for our key home market.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • As part of the People Leadership Team, you are responsible for developing and implementing regional HR strategic plans, and aligning overall HR strategy with global business objectives.
  • Lead cultural and organisational transformation efforts to promote a diverse, inclusive, engaging and high performing work environment.
  • Guide business leaders to transform the region from current to future state, enhancing organizational agility, efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to develop comprehensive workforce planning strategies in alignment with business objectives.
  • Empower managers with the tools and resources they need to effectively manage their teams. This includes overseeing a team of HR professionals who provide guidance and support to managers on performance management, employee relations, and compliance with HR policies and regulations.
  • Partner with regional and global HR teams to ensure consistent and effective HR practices.
  • Collaborate with Global HR Centres of Excellence (COEs) to deliver HR services and solutions in line with function or business unit strategy (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, HR Operations).
  • Manage cross-border HR issues and cultural diversity within the workforce to create a positive and productive work environment that supports growth and success of the organization.

Please be advised that this role is based at our Head Office in Street, Somerset, BA16 0EQ and we have a hybrid model with the expectations of working from the office for 3-4 days a week.

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within a global or complex matrix organization within retail or consumer goods industries.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and respond to changing business needs and market dynamics.
  • Tact, diplomacy, sensitivity, and high levels of integrity are required in dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Strong commercial acumen in a business partner role and ability to coach, mentor and influence senior business leaders.
  • Proven track record in driving complex change management and organizational transformation strategies.
  • Strong communicator with experience dealing with a global executive team and board of directors, with comfort and competence influencing decision making.
  • Collaborative leadership style and management skills to impact culture and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Dynamic and highly effective leader adept at managing and developing the HR team to maximize their growth and effectiveness, while fostering a high-performing and cohesive team environment.
  • Preferred Degree in Human Resources and CIPD level 7 qualified or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
