Purpose and contribution
As an Ecommerce Performance Analyst, you will play a key role in turning data into actionable insight to support growth across our digital channels. You\’ll work closely with Ecommerce, Marketing, Trading, and Product teams, using your analytical skills to unlock trends, identify opportunities, and drive performance. From building self-serve dashboards in Power BI to deep dives using SQL and Excel, your work will shape our customer journey and overall ecommerce strategy.
Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain insightful Power BI dashboards to monitor performance across ecommerce, digital marketing, customer journey, and trading.
- Use SQL to extract and manipulate large datasets from various sources (e.g., ecommerce platform, CRM, web analytics, and marketing tools).
- Provide regular and ad-hoc reports and analysis to stakeholders, highlighting key trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support A/B tests, campaign evaluations, customer segmentation, and user journey analysis.
- Maintain and improve data quality, accuracy, and integrity across reports and dashboards.
- Continuously identify new ways to improve reporting and insight generation processes
Key knowledge, skills and experience required
- Proven experience in a similar role within a digital or ecommerce environment.
- Familiarity with digital marketing metrics (e.g., ROAS, conversion rate, CPC).
- Strong SQL skills – confident writing queries to extract, join, and manipulate data from relational databases.
- Proficient in Power BI – able to build user-friendly dashboards and visualisations that communicate insights clearly.
- Advanced Excel skills – including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data manipulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate data and insights in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-rich environment with multiple stakeholders
- Experience with platforms (e.g., Shopify, Commerce Tools), Google Analytics, or CRM systems.
- Experience in Python or R for additional data analysis
