PTS Section Engineer required to join a well-established Rail & Civils Contractor in the Central Belt of Scotland, on a permanent basis. The projects will be multi-disciplinary, involving Civil Engineering, Signalling, OLE, Structures and P-Way. The ideal candidate will have experience of working on multi-disciplinary Rail and Railway Station works.
Candidate requirements:
- Degree qualified, in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience on multi-disciplinary Rail projects
- Excellent understanding of GRIP phases
- PTS - ESSENTIAL
- Experience of managing site engineering operations
The role will involve:
- Assisting the Project Manager in the delivery of a large multi-disciplinary Railway project
- Completing Site Paperwork such as WPP's and Task Briefings
- Checking designs
- Ensuring the work is completed in accordance with design requirements
- Raising technical issues
- Managing sub-contractors
- Ensuring permits are in place
- Overseeing a team of engineering staff, checking their work where necessary
Already experienced as a Section Engineer you will have a relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng) or equivalent and you will have extensive civil engineering and Rail experience. You will be able to produce, explain accurate plans and drawings and you will have a sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations.
