We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented System Support Analyst to support our busy legal debt recovery team.
Our highly regarded Debt Recovery team is based only in our Taunton office, but it provides a national service for large utility companies, Government Departments, Local Authorities, insurance companies, managing agents, businesses and individuals. With over 20 people, the team specialises in all aspects of debt recovery including pre-action work as well as county court proceedings, judgments, insolvency and enforcement.
You will be working in a team dealing with various different clients, acting for them in the recovery of sums owed. This role combines administrative support, data management, reporting, and basic systems administration within our Case Management System (CMS). The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining efficient workflows, supporting colleagues and clients, and ensuring the accurate handling of large volumes of case data.
This position would suit someone who is highly organised, technically confident, and comfortable working with Excel and large datasets in a fast-paced office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a legal and operational support environment. While prior legal knowledge is not required, an interest in legal systems, reporting, and process improvement would be highly beneficial. Training will be provided on our internal systems and processes.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Importing bulk instructions and updates from clients into our CMS
- Exporting case and management information data from our CMS in client-specific formats
- Producing MI/statistical reports for clients and internal stakeholders
- Starting, monitoring, and troubleshooting bulk workflows, processes, and print jobs
- Resetting and managing user accounts for staff and client portal users
- Assisting colleagues with general CMS administration and operational support
- Creating bespoke reports and MI packages for clients and internal stakeholders
- Setting up or amending workflows within the CMS using existing logic and workflow tools
- Creating or updating document templates within the CMS
- Supporting the wider team with administrative case-related tasks
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and automate repetitive processes
The role is right for you if you have:
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and charts, advanced formulas (e.g. XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT), and experience using Excel macros or automation tools
- Data analysis and manipulation
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Confidence working with large datasets and business systems
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
Desirable skills include:
- Experience working with CRM/CMS/case management systems
- Experience producing management information or statistical reporting
- Basic understanding of workflow/process automation
- Experience within a legal, financial, or debt recovery environment
