Family - Associate

About The Role

Due to our continued success, we have a new opportunity for an ambitious Associate to join our reputable family team in Bristol.

Our tier 1 ranked team is led by partner Clare Webb and consists of 2 Senior Associates and a Paralegal. You will have exposure to a broad range of privately funded financial remedy work, private children law and cohabitation disputes. You will work with a client base that comprises professional clients, high net worth individuals and in particular those with business interests and those in the sports and agricultural sectors.

Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:

You will have experience of handling complex, high quality family law matters to include both privately funded financial remedy work, private children law and cohabitation disputes. Our client base comprises professional clients, high net worth individuals, those with business interests and those in the sports and agricultural sectors.

It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures

This role is right for you if:

You will be a well-established Lawyer with experience from a leading firm. Ideally, you will have at least four years of post-qualification experience.

You will need to be technically excellent and commercially aware. You will need a solid foundation in litigation but also knowledge and awareness of non-court practices. You will need to be a team player with a client focused approach and a keenness to become involved in business development activities within the team, having already established key local professional connections.

You will have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.

You will be someone who likes to be proactive, and who is flexible working both individually and as part of a team, with minimal supervision, able to manage several different cases and clients effectively.

Communication will be one of your strong points, both written and oral, and you will be enthusiastic about delivering excellent quality service to our clients.

We expect you to be able to use your initiative, and be a forward-planner, anticipating our clients’ needs in advance wherever possible.
