About The Role We are currently looking for a Disrepair Solicitor to join our Housing Management Team due to continued growth and success. Our Housing Disrepair team handles the department’s housing conditions claims and has a strong reputation within the sector, with success at trial defending claims on behalf of Social Landlords. The focus of this role is defending litigated housing conditions claims. You will manage your own caseload of litigated housing conditions claims and be well versed with drafting Defences and witness statements and preparing cases for trial.

Responsibilities

• Defend litigated housing conditions claims and manage your own caseload.
• Draft Defences and witness statements and prepare cases for trial.
• Contribute to the team’s ongoing success within a firm recognised in Legal 500 & Chambers, and involved in major national and regional frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Social Housing team, ideally representing Registered Providers / Local Authorities in Disrepair matters.
• Proven track record of conducting claims to trial.
• Ambition and a real interest in the social housing sector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to adapt style to a wide range of professionals.
• Enthusiastic about delivering high quality and service to clients.
• Ability to multitask on a varied caseload.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.
• Advocacy experience is advantageous but not essential.
