About The Role We have a fantastic opportunity for a Paralegal to join our well established Employment team.
Working on a varied caseload, we are looking for someone to help support the team in their day-to-day work handling high quality employment law matters.
You will be joining our supportive and friendly Employment team in our Southampton office which comprises a Partner and a Solicitor.
You will have the opportunity to develop your experience by assisting the team, including providing administrative support with the potential to fee earn.
Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by: Working alongside experienced Employment solicitors, you will be involved in: A range of contentious and non-contentious work for both commercial/corporate clients, as well as (generally senior level) individuals.
Assisting with the billing process and client take on, including undertaking anti-money laundering checks; conflict checks; and drafting risk assessments.
Managing diaries including diarising meetings and calls.
Drafting legal documents (with supervision).
Conducting legal research, as requested.
Preparing bundles for Employment Tribunal cases.
Assisting with business development activities including pitches, proposals and tenders.
Preparing and collating marketing materials.
Liaising with clients and taking part in client meetings.
Liaising with Employment Tribunals and relevant third parties on a regular basis.
This can be a fast-paced position and you will need to be proactive and flexible to meet the demands of your team.
You will need to be able to prioritise a number of different tasks effectively, enabling the team to work as efficiently as possible.
You also need to have a high level of accuracy in your work.
It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.
