About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator to join our highly regarded Court of Protection team in Bristol.

Working alongside another Administrator, you will support a large and sociable team of 22 fee-earners who provide specialist services to vulnerable clients. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the team by delivering high-quality administrative support, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with a range of client-related activities. This role will also offer you the chance to get involved in some fee-earner duties.

This is a full-time, hybrid role, working Monday to Friday.

Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:

You will provide proactive and professional support to our Lawyers and Case Managers, managing a varied workload and helping to ensure clients receive an exceptional service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing incoming and outgoing post and liaising with our Facilities Management team where required.
  • Collating enclosures and preparing correspondence for clients and third parties.
  • Opening, closing and archiving client files.
  • Maintaining accurate filing and e-filing systems, ensuring documents and records are stored securely and remain accessible.
  • Supporting the maintenance of client records and in-house databases to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  • Preparing correspondence and communicating professionally with clients, service providers, local authorities and other organisations on behalf of clients.
  • Organising and coordinating client visits, including preparing documentation and information packs for Deputies and fee earners.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual client reports and supporting accurate record-keeping processes.
  • Processing requests relating to wills, deeds and other documents held in safe storage.
  • Supporting payment administration processes and assisting with banking-related activities where required.
  • Making purchases and arranging services on behalf of clients to support their daily living needs and wellbeing.
  • Reviewing and managing client memberships and subscription services to ensure they continue to meet clients' needs.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for clients, taking messages, arranging meetings and dealing with enquiries professionally, sensitively and efficiently.
  • Providing additional administrative and secretarial support across the wider team as required, including assisting colleagues during busy periods and covering absences.

This is a busy and rewarding role that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of client service.

This role is right for you if:

Previous experience within a legal environment would be advantageous but is not essential. We are keen to hear from candidates who have experience in a busy administrative, office support or customer-focused role and who have a genuine interest in building a career within the legal sector.
