Clarke Transport, a family business and one of the leading privately owned multi-service transport organisations in the UK, is looking for a Traffic Clerk to work out of our National Hub in Tipton.

Description
You will support the management team to provide notification to drivers of their routes, ensuring the smooth running of logistic operations for onward delivery. You will also liaise with customers to ensure excellence in customer experience and promotion of the Company brand.
To Include (but Not Limited To)
- Plan, organise, monitor, and control operations ensuring the accurate flow of information throughout the traffic and warehousing functions.
- Provide administrative support for planning and scheduling of resources and deliveries through monitoring key customer deliveries, reporting ETAs, recording and advising arising issues to necessary personnel.
- Ensuring daily collection requirements are completed.
- Assistance with maintaining driver performance and completing driver debriefs.
- Provide various reports/spreadsheets as required for internal departments and customers in a timely manner.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE and other relevant drivers legislation (WTD).
- Promote and maintain high standards within the business at all times when dealing with staff and customers.
- Communicate in a clear, polite, and concise manner with colleagues/customers in all departments as required by the demands of the business.
- Promote constant motivation within the team to achieve an efficient and effective environment for all, identifying and implementing practices to continually improve operational performance.
Key Skills

- IT literate in use of a variety of software packages including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Able to organise workload with clear time management skills for working to deadlines.
- Ability to work from own initiative and also as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits
- £13.69 per hour.
- 20 Days plus 8 statutory holidays (28 days in total).
- Additional Holiday after 4 years’ service – Extra Day for every additional year’s service up to a maximum of 5 extra days.
- Death in service – £20,000.
