Responsibilities
- Drive and deliver goods across multiple locations while adhering to all safety regulations, including safe handling of hazardous materials where required.
- Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
- Manage multiple drop-offs efficiently with strong attention to detail and time management.
- Represent Clarke Transport professionally with customers and colleagues during deliveries.
- Utilize in-cab systems/PDA to manage routes and documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum two years of commercial driving experience (minimum 6 months on UK roads; no more than 6 points on license).
- Driving Licence (category appropriate for the role).
- Can-do attitude, flexibility, and ability to work occasional Saturdays if required.
- Excellent verbal and written English, numeracy, and IT literacy to operate in-cab PDA devices.
- Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Forklift Counter Balance experience is preferred but not required.
- Full commitment to health and safety standards and ongoing training.
Benefits and Compensation
- Pay: £14.61 per hour.
- Overtime opportunities.
- Training: ADR training required for hazardous materials handling; CLASS 2 training after probation.
