NEW CONTRACT – Class 1 ADR Multi Drop Driver Basildon Depot Clarke Transport Basildon, Unit 3, Wollaston Way, Burnt Mill Industrial Estate, Basildon, SS13 1DJ

Successful candidates will be required to work Monday to Friday on multi drop deliveries and collections. The successful applicant will earn £17.44 per hour; overtime is available and you will be entitled to 28 days holiday per year (inclusive of all bank holidays).

Role Requirements
  • HGV Category C+E Driver License allowing you to drive in the UK.
  • DCPC Training up to date.
  • Relevant Medical up to date.
  • Good Spoken English to be able to communicate with customers and other colleagues.
  • ADR Certificate in date (preferred).
Role Responsibilities
  • Driving and operating your vehicle in accordance with Road Traffic Legislation and the Highway Code; keep the vehicle clean and serviceable.
  • Ensure that all Daily Vehicle Checks are undertaken and reported.
  • Make effective use of safety equipment, particularly personal protective equipment.
  • Zero‑tolerance policy on health and safety.
  • Comply with all legislative requirements, company policy and procedures.
  • Return all PODs, PDAs and other associated documentation as instructed by your Manager/Supervisor.
  • Always comply with Depot rules.
  • Load and unload vehicles.

  • Additional Holiday after four years’ service – extra day for every additional year’s service up to a maximum of five extra days.
  • Death in service – £20,000.
  • Ongoing training: upskilling to LGV Cat C+E Driver (CLASS 1), ADR Training.
  • Full uniform and PPE provided.
  • Auto Enrolment Pension Scheme.
Schedule
  • 10‑hour shift, Day shift.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Weekends (occasionally).
Job Types: Full‑time, Permanent Pay: £17.75 per hour Experience: Driving a Goods Vehicle: 2 years (required). Multi Drop: 2 years (required). Licences/Certifications: Driver CPC (required). ADR (PACKAGES) (preferred). Work Location: In person from our Basildon Depot.
