Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 (dependent on experience) + Car Cash Allowance

This is a Permanent, Full-Time vacancy.

This role can be based in either our Manchester or Blantyre office, with hybrid working available for both locations. Full-time | 37.5 hours per week

Clarke is expanding its EV and ICP division and is looking for an experienced EV Project Manager to lead and deliver complex electrical infrastructure projects. This is a pivotal role in shaping our strategy, driving operational excellence, and delivering cutting-edge EV charging infrastructure across the UK.

The Role

As an EV Project Manager, you will oversee projects from initiation to handover, managing both EV and ICP workstreams. You’ll work closely with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality delivery while contributing to the long-term growth of our EV offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading project delivery across EV and ICP workstreams, ensuring programmes run to time, cost, and quality.
  • Coordinating health & safety documentation, pre-start meetings, and compliance with CDM regulations.
  • Managing subcontractors and suppliers to meet SLA and performance standards.
  • Ensuring timely ordering of materials, collaborating with the EV Design Lead, and providing as-built drawings.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships across the project lifecycle, positioning Clarke as a preferred partner.
  • Monitoring project performance using internal tools, ensuring data integrity and transparency.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce delivery costs.
  • Supporting and developing cross-functional delivery teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing EV and/or ICP projects in a construction or utilities environment.
  • Experience in supplier and subcontractor management, including remote and cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and experience compiling health & safety packs.
  • Strong commercial acumen with budget management experience and a focus on improving profitability.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with project tracking tools such as Sitetracker.
  • Full UK driving license with the flexibility to travel and occasionally work outside standard hours.
  • NRSWA, IOSH, CSCS, or similar H&S certifications.
  • Experience setting up or scaling a delivery function in the EV or infrastructure sector.
  • Vendor and partner management experience.
