We are looking for a detail‑driven Assistant Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at Clarke Energy. This role plays a key part in supporting accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls and helping the business meet its month‑end, statutory and compliance requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone developing their accounting career within a global engineering organisation that places strong value on integrity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month‑end close process, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain an accurate and up‑to‑date fixed asset register, ensuring timely updates and completeness.
- Circulate active asset listings to departmental owners and follow up on status confirmations.
- Post and review INNIO invoices, including monthly reconciliations.
- Review and correct historic or incorrect expense postings where appropriate.
- Review and report on monthly departmental spend.
- Prepare and issue monthly intercompany invoices, including expenses, management charges and notional interest.
- Ensure intercompany balances are accurate, fully reconciled and supported.
- Assist the Financial Accountant with ad hoc projects, process improvements and data clean‑up initiatives.
- Contribute to improving financial controls, documentation and reporting efficiency.
