Are you an experienced service leader ready to take ownership of regional operational performance? Clarke Energy is seeking an Area Service Manager to lead, develop and deploy a regional field service team, ensuring contractual commitments are met and our high standards of safety, quality and customer service are consistently delivered. This is a senior operational role with real accountability for people leadership, engine fleet performance and customer relationships across a defined region. You’ll be at the heart of Clarke Energy’s service delivery, acting as a role model for professionalism, integrity and reliability.
Job Purpose
To manage the effective resourcing and deployment of Service Engineers and Apprentices within a region, ensuring contractual performance targets, customer expectations and Clarke Energy standards are achieved at all times. The majority of your time will be spent managing and supporting the Field Service operational function across your region.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Time‑served engineer (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Minimum of 10 years’ engineering experience across electrical and mechanical disciplines
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines and generators
- CHP and balance of plant experience
- Proven experience managing remote engineering teams
- Strong customer relationship management experience
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Good IT skills
- Ability to work independently and lead by example
Desirable
- INNIO Jenbacher product knowledge
- HNC / HND in Engineering or equivalent
- Engine commissioning experience
- Gas Safe registration
