We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead and manage the design, execution, and commissioning of large‑scale EPC projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the project team through the entire lifecycle, ensuring performance and delivery meet timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular team meetings and one‑on‑ones, providing feedback and guidance to ensure progress is on target.
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Liaise with clients to understand and interpret their requirements, ensuring any deviations from the contract are communicated to the Contracts Manager.
- Negotiate project timescales and costs with clients, ensuring agreement on project deliverables.
- Develop a detailed Project Plan, including all technical, commercial, and installation tasks for progress tracking and reporting.
- Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards are fully integrated into project plans and adhered to at all stages.
- Allocate resources to achieve project goals on time and to the required quality.
- Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure the best value on materials and services.
- Monitor project progress, resolving delays or issues as needed.
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring regular communication and satisfaction with project progress.
- Report project status to the Contract Manager, highlighting any difficulties and the actions taken to address them.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in project management in an engineering environment.
- Knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management policies and procedures.
- Experience with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).
- Excellent client management skills.
- Solid budget management experience.
- Working knowledge of construction contracts such as FIDIC, NEC and JCT.
- Proficient IT skills – Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
- Coaching and team development skills.
