We are looking for a commercially sharp and driven Contracts Manager to join our Service Commercial Team, supporting the continued growth of Clarke Energy’s aftermarket service business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive aftermarket service revenue and margin growth through the development and negotiation of robust, risk‑managed commercial contracts.
  • Manage a pipeline of new and existing opportunities, including maintenance agreements, parts supply contracts, and transactional service work.
  • Lead commercial discussions and contract negotiations, acting as the primary point of contact for customers.
  • Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions in collaboration with Commercial and Legal teams, ensuring risks are clearly identified and mitigated.
  • Take ownership of pricing strategies for maintenance contracts, including duration, commercial structure, and contractual terms.
  • Provide clear and practical commercial guidance to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate contractual risks such as performance guarantees, liquidated damages, liabilities, and compliance obligations.
  • Build strong market awareness, tracking competitor activity, customer trends, and emerging opportunities.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure service delivery requirements are accurately reflected in contracts.
  • Maintain full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial contract negotiation and management, ideally within engineering or technical services.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience selling or supporting service‑based or engineering solutions.
  • Solid understanding of contract law principles and their commercial implications.
  • Degree or HND/HNC in a relevant field (Business, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or similar).
  • Strong IT skills across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify commercial opportunities.
