Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Project Managers across the full project lifecycle, from design coordination through to construction, commissioning and handover.
- Take overall accountability for programme delivery, budget performance, contractual compliance and quality outcomes across all assigned projects.
- Monitor performance across a portfolio of live projects, ensuring alignment with programme milestones, cost plans and quality benchmarks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
- Provide strong leadership to the Project Management team through structured coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- Ensure full compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) standards across all projects.
- Oversee engagement with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring value, quality and reliability in all commercial agreements.
- Uphold Clarke Energy's values, standards and professional behaviours across all projects and interactions.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience managing large‐scale engineering or construction projects within an EPC environment.
- Strong leadership experience managing and developing Project Managers or multidisciplinary teams.
- Sound commercial awareness, including budget management and contract negotiation.
- In‐depth knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental standards, including CDM 2015 regulations.
- Excellent client‐facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and reporting capabilities with a focus on performance and accountability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project planning tools (e.g. Microsoft Project).
Desirable Experience
- Degree, HND or HNC in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM).
- Experience in the power generation or energy sector.
- Technical understanding of CHP, steam raising plant, or electrical/mechanical installation principles.
