Project Director Civils

Overview

Our client is one of Scotland\’s top construction companies and civil engineering contractors, with headquarters in Glasgow and operating across the Central Belt, Northern and Southern Scotland.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced civils-oriented Project Director to lead and drive a 100 million civils/access roads project in the North of Scotland.

The Role

• Reporting directly to the Managing Director
• Overseeing projects from start to finish
• Project planning, budgeting and identification of resources required
• Building teams, developing goals and objectives and assigning responsibilities
• Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular progress meetings with the stakeholders
• Ensure projects documents are in order
• Co-ordinate all parties involved in the project
• To maintain a high standard of health and safety on site and within the company\\\’s health and safety policy
• To control all site activities and deal with any site problems or queries
• To manage project within budget and on time
• To maintain a high standard of finish on the project
• Appointment of sub-contractor

The Candidate

• Proven experience in a similar role in a main civils contractor environment
• Ability to demonstrate a track record of experience in dealing with clients at a senior level
• Significant post-qualification experience of project management of civils/highways/structures works of 30 million plus
• Demonstrate experience in working to agreed targets within a commercial environment
