Overview
A highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Witney is looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join its growing team.
The firm works with a diverse client base of SMEs, owner-managed businesses, partnerships and sole traders across Oxfordshire, providing accounts, tax and business advisory services.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Senior seeking a varied role with genuine career progression, strong client exposure and a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Managing your own portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality accounting services, while working closely with the Partners on more complex assignments.
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and corporation tax returns.
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts.
- Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns.
- Providing advice and support to owner-managed businesses on day-to-day accounting matters.
- Assisting with client meetings alongside the Partners.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value.
- The Ideal Candidate
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or be qualified by experience).
- Recent experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Strong experience preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients.
- Good knowledge of corporation tax and VAT compliance.
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books and Sage.
