Clark Wood is a specialist Recruitment Consultancy operating throughout the United Kingdom within the Public Practice Accountancy & Tax sectors. Our core client base consists of Accountancy Practices ranging from Big 4, Top 10 & Mid-Tier firms through to independent regional firms and sole traders. We are working with a well-established and highly reputable independent firm of chartered accountants in South Wales who are looking to add an Audit Manager / Senior Auditor to their growing audit team. The firm is experiencing sustained growth and has an excellent reputation across the region, supported by modern offices, a strong leadership team, and a genuinely supportive culture. The client has a varied client base which includes OMBs, SME groups, and larger corporate clients across multiple sectors.
Responsibilities
- Play key role in delivery of audit assignments and manage client relationships.
- Lead engagements from planning through to completion.
- Support development of junior team members.
- Complete audit fieldwork and statutory reporting under International Auditing Standards.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects such as forecasts, grant applications, and financial due diligence work.
- Manage budgets, WIP, billing, and client administration.
- Ensure work delivered to highest professional and technical standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- ACA / ACCA Qualified (or Part-Qualified with strong audit experience).
- Demonstrable experience within a UK accountancy practice environment.
- Experience of leading audit engagements and supervising junior staff is essential.
