Clark Wood are currently working with a well-established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Shrewsbury who are looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior to join their growing team. As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will take on a varied role with exposure to a broad and diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Managing tax compliance work
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Supervising fieldwork and ensuring assignments are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Liaising directly with clients and building strong professional relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
- Involvement in audit planning, risk assessments, and discussions around audit strategy and fraud considerations
The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified (or nearing qualification), with recent experience in a mixed audit and accounts role within an accountancy practice. You will have proven experience leading audit assignments, strong technical knowledge, and good communication and organisational skills.
