Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a regional South Yorkshire based firm who are looking for an Accounts & Audit Assistant or Semi Senior to join their team in their office in the South of Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established regional firm where you'll work with a broad range of clients, develop your technical skills, and be supported every step of the way as your career progresses.
The role is predominantly audit-focused, giving you exposure to assignments from planning through to completion, while also involving the preparation of statutory accounts and other compliance work.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assisting on audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Supporting audit fieldwork both on-site and remotely.
- Preparing statutory accounts and assisting with corporation tax work.
- Building strong relationships with clients and working closely with managers and senior team members.
Ideal candidate:
- AAT qualified or currently studying ACA or ACCA.
- Experience working in a UK accountancy practice.
- Previous involvement in audit assignments.
- Keen to learn, develop, and build a long-term career in practice.
