Accounts Senior – Redditch
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE
Clark Wood is delighted to be working with a well-established and reputable firm of Chartered Accountants in Redditch who are looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional to join a supportive firm, managing a varied portfolio of owner‑managed businesses and gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting and advisory work.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparation of statutory accounts for a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed business clients.
- Preparation of management accounts where required.
- Preparation and review of VAT returns.
- Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact.
- Assisting clients with accounting software queries, particularly Xero.
- Supporting senior management with client advisory work and ad‑hoc projects.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
- Experience preparing accounts for a portfolio of SME/OMB clients.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part‑qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience will all be considered.
