An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Senior to join a growing and ambitious accountancy practice.
This role is ideal for a qualified accountant (or someone qualified by experience) who enjoys working closely with clients, reviewing technical work, and mentoring junior team members.
You’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients, provide proactive business advice, and play a key role in maintaining the firm’s high standards of client service.
The Role
As an Accounts Senior, your responsibilities will include
- Reviewing statutory year-end accounts, including corporation tax computations.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Acting as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing advice and attending client meetings.
- Monitoring clients' real-time financial performance through the review of Xero bookkeeping records.
- Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior staff members.
- Working closely with the firm’s Client Managers and wider team to continually improve client service and processes.
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have
- ACA or ACCA qualification, or be qualified by experience.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and corporation tax.
- Experience using cloud accounting software, ideally Xero.
- Salary & Benefits
- Salary of
£35,000 - £45,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.
- Performance-related bonus of up to
10% of basic salary.
- 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Additional time off over the Christmas period.
