Clark Wood is delighted to be supporting a highly regarded accountancy practice seeking an Audit Senior to join their growing team in Poole. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified auditor who enjoys leading assignments, building strong client relationships, and supporting the development of junior team members.
You’ll work with a specialist client portfolio, gaining valuable sector expertise while managing a broad range of audit responsibilities from planning through to completion. The role offers a strong balance of autonomy, career progression, and ongoing professional development within a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading statutory audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Managing audit engagements and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Identifying technical issues and providing practical, commercially focused solutions
- Assisting with advisory projects and more complex client assignments
- Supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior team members
- Reviewing work completed by trainees and providing constructive feedback
What We’re Looking For
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or actively studying towards qualification
- Strong audit experience gained within an accountancy practice environment
- Previous experience leading audits and managing client relationships
- Good knowledge of UK accounting standards and audit methodologies
