Are you an experienced Private Client and Personal Tax professional looking for a role offering genuine career progression? Situated in Peterborough, this well-known accountancy firm is currently recruiting for a technically strong Private Client Tax Manager. The role would suit either a qualified Manager looking to take their next step, or someone already working in a supervisory/managerial position. The firm has a growing client base driven by good marketing work and a high number of referrals. The successful applicant will be responsible for a portfolio of HNWIs & UHNWIs and will report into the Tax Partner. You will be tasked with supervising a small team, working on ad‑hoc tax advisory projects as well as other compliance focused areas (Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax & Trusts). You will also be expected to conduct technical research for the use and benefit of your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a private client portfolio, focusing on self‑assessment tax returns and advisory services.
  • Supervise Tax Seniors and Trainees, providing guidance and reviewing their work.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and training programs.
  • Support Tax Partners and identify cross‑selling opportunities.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge and participate in marketing activities.

Ideal Candidate

ATT or CTA Qualified with at least 5 years' experience in Personal Tax within a practice environment. The Peterborough office is commutable from areas all over Cambridgeshire, Stamford, Market Deeping, March, Huntingdon, Spalding etc.
