Accountancy Practice and Tax recruitment specialists Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a leading firm in Ely who are looking to add an ambitious and driven Personal Tax Assistant Manager or established Personal Tax Manager.
As a Personal Tax Manager you will work closely with the Partners to ensure the efficient provision of a range of technical services to a variety of prestigious clients based across the region. You will form an integral part of the firm’s personal tax team and will be responsible for managing your own client portfolio, working in a mixed compliance and advisory capacity. You will have responsibility for overseeing Tax Seniors and Trainees within the team which will see you reviewing their work and providing support and guidance to them as necessary.
The ideal candidate may be ATT or CTA Qualified and will have a wealth of experience in Personal Tax, any experience within Trusts is advantageous. Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing the tax compliance processes for a portfolio of clients to ensure that tax returns are filed on a timely basis and clients are advised of tax payments
- Involvement with a range of tax advisory projects including IHT planning, share incentive schemes, business acquisitions and sales
- Reviewing personal tax returns and computations
- Reviewing trust tax returns and capital gains tax returns
- Preparation of more complex tax computations and returns
- Dealing with tax enquiries
- Delegating work to tax team and mentoring trainees
- Responsible for the commercial delivery of tax work, including fee quotes and monitoring of recoveries
- Preparation of corporation tax computations for our larger group company clients and more complex standalone company clients
- Input in to the development of the corporation tax processes and procedures
Skills & Qualifications
- ATT Qualified / CTA Qualified
- Strong Personal Tax experience within a practice environment is essential
