Clark Wood, specialists in Accountancy Practice and Tax recruitment, are partnering with a prominent and leading firm in Newcastle Upon Tyne who are looking to add an experienced Personal Tax Compliance Manager to their team.
As a Personal Tax Manager, you will manage a diverse array of clients, ensuring all compliance work is completed accurately and efficiently. You will personally handle compliance work for the more complex clients within the portfolio, with a significant portion of your role focused on reviewing tax returns prepared by team members. You will play an integral part in the firm’s tax offering, working closely with the Partners. You will oversee Tax Seniors and Trainees, reviewing their work and providing necessary support and guidance. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of Tax Seniors and Trainees, providing support and guidance.
- Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact.
- Reviewing self‑assessment and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
- Overseeing and managing the tax return process for all Personal Tax clients.
- Ensuring that all compliance work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Handling compliance work for the complex clients within the portfolio.
- Dealing with HMRC enquiries and compliance checks.
- Supporting planning projects and researching technical issues.
- Managing the tax billing process, including monthly WIP management.
Skills:
- Ideally CTA Qualified, although ATT Qualified or QBE will be considered equally.
- Strong Personal Tax experience within a practice environment is essential.
