Clark Wood are recruiting for an Accounts & Audit Manager to join a highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Northallerton.
This role would suit an Audit Manager, Accounts Manager, Client Manager or Senior Audit & Accounts professional who is ACA / ACCA qualified and looking for a varied role with strong client exposure.
The Role
- Managing a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, including OMBs, SMEs, charities and limited companies
- Planning, managing and reviewing statutory audit assignments
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under UK GAAP
- Reviewing corporation tax computations
- Acting as the main client contact and providing accounting advice
- Managing deadlines, budgets and workflow
- Reviewing work completed by Audit Seniors, Accounts Seniors and trainees
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Working closely with Partners on client management and business development
The Person
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Previous accountancy practice experience
- Experience managing audits and reviewing statutory accounts
- Strong audit, accounts and UK GAAP knowledge
- Good client management and communication skills
- Experience supervising and developing junior staff
