Audit Semi Senior Midlands (Hybrid) Circa £25,000 - £32,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Study Support
Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a leading UK accountancy & advisory group who are continuing to grow across the Midlands and are now looking to recruit an Audit Semi Senior. The firm supports the SME market with a full service offering including Audit, Accounts & Advisory, Tax, Payroll, Corporate Finance and Business Recovery. As an Audit Semi Senior, you will support the delivery of audit engagements across a varied client base and gain exposure to multiple sectors. You will work closely with Managers, Directors and Partners, receiving strong guidance and development support as you progress through your ACA / ACCA studies.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assisting with audits and taking responsibility for sections of audit files
- Preparing audit working papers to a high standard
- Supporting the preparation of statutory and non-statutory accounts
- Liaising with internal teams (including Tax) where relevant
- Supervising junior staff and reviewing work completed
- Assisting with journals and accounting adjustments
- Ensuring assignments are completed to agreed budgets and timescales
- Providing general ad hoc support across the Audit team as required
Ideal Candidate:
- Part-qualified / studying towards ACA / ACCA
- Experience in audit within a UK Accountancy Practice environment
- Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
- Willing to take on new challenges and develop technically
- A team player with a strong commitment to quality client service
