An established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice in Maidstone is looking to recruit a Personal or Mixed Tax Senior to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional seeking a varied role within a friendly and supportive environment. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, including directors, sole traders, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals and property investors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients from onboarding through to completion
  • Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns
  • Advising clients on personal tax planning opportunities, including capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters
  • Handling HMRC correspondence and enquiries
  • Monitoring deadlines and ensuring all compliance work is completed accurately and on time
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting junior team members where appropriate
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients

About You

  • Previous experience in a personal tax role within an accountancy practice
  • Strong knowledge of UK personal tax compliance
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • ATT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience would be advantageous
  • Experience of corporate tax compliance would be beneficial but is not essential
