Help Build and Shape a Newly Established Tax Function. We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Tax Senior to join our newly established Tax Team, supporting a highly regarded business management firm that specialises in the music and entertainment industry.

Responsibilities
  • Firmwide Tax Support
    • Providing payroll and VAT support to business management teams
    • Supporting compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements, including implementation of effective systems
    • Acting as a central point of contact for internal tax queries
    • Supporting tax compliance across personal tax, corporation tax, partnership tax, and VAT
    • Responding to HMRC enquiries, correspondence, and compliance matters
    • Assisting with quarterly reporting requirements and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Client Portfolio Responsibilities
    • Preparation and submission of Self-Assessment tax returns
    • Preparation of Corporation Tax and Partnership Tax returns
    • Preparation and review of VAT returns and MTD submissions
    • Computing Capital Gains Tax liabilities, including UK residential property disposals and real-time reporting
    • Providing ongoing compliance and tax planning support
    • Ensuring all client tax affairs are managed accurately and on time
    • Identifying issues and opportunities to add value to clients

Experience and Qualifications
  • At least three years' experience in a dedicated tax role
  • Strong mixed tax compliance experience
  • Confident in preparing personal tax, corporate tax, partnership tax, and VAT returns
  • Experience responding to HMRC enquiries
  • Comfortable managing own workload and client portfolio
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues across a firm
Qualifications considered:
  • ACA qualified
  • ACCA qualified
  • ATT qualified
  • CTA qualified or part qualified
  • Or equivalent experience
