RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the tax team and wider leadership group, supporting a combination of corporate tax compliance and advisory work across a varied client portfolio. The role offers excellent exposure to technical advisory matters while also providing significant client interaction and responsibility. There will also be the opportunity to work alongside and help support more junior members of the wider tax function, including collaboration with overseas support teams.
Key Responsibilities- Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns prepared by junior team members.
- Managing the corporate tax compliance cycle across a varied portfolio of clients.
- Supporting on a broad range of corporate tax advisory projects.
- Providing tax technical support to clients and colleagues across the wider business.
- Assisting with tax planning assignments and transactional work where required.
- Liaising directly with clients, HMRC and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff members and reviewing work where appropriate.
- Assisting with the management of workflow, deadlines and client expectations.
- Developing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
- Ensuring technical knowledge remains up to date through continued professional development.
- CTA qualified or nearing qualification.
- Strong corporate tax compliance and advisory experience within practice.
- Ideally 4+ years’ experience working within a corporate tax team.
- Comfortable managing responsibilities independently while also working collaboratively within a wider team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to liaise directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded with a proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
