A well-established and forward-thinking firm in Dundee is looking to expand its team and is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to support the Head of Tax in managing multiple operations within the tax practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to deliver high-quality tax services and contribute to the growth of the firm.
Key responsibilities
- Oversight of Tax Returns: Supervise the preparation and review of personal, corporate, and partnership tax returns, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Tax Computations and Filings: Ensure timely and accurate computation of tax liabilities, managing submissions to prevent late filing penalties.
- Strategic Tax Planning: Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services, assisting clients to optimize their tax positions and benefit from available reliefs and exemptions.
- Complex Tax Issues: Address complex tax matters including mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and international tax considerations.
- HMRC Liaison: Act as the primary contact for HMRC enquiries and investigations, representing clients and resolving disputes.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business and personal tax requirements.
- Supervision and Mentoring: Guide and mentor junior tax staff, providing training and support to foster professional growth.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate the work of the tax team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
