Trust Accountant β Surrey
Clark Wood are currently working with a highly regarded and well-established firm of accountants who are looking to recruit a Trust Accountant to join their growing Trust & Wealth Services team in Surrey.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in trust accounting and taxation to join a specialist team working with a sophisticated client base of HNW and UHNW individuals and families.
The team provides a range of trust accounting, administration and taxation services across a varied portfolio of UK and offshore trusts, estates and charities.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for a varied portfolio of trust and estate work, including:
- Preparing trust accounts and tax returns for UK and non-UK trusts and estates
- Preparing accounts and tax returns for trusts, charities, estates and HNW individuals
- Preparing tax pool computations for offshore trusts
- Assisting with the ongoing administration of trusts, charities and estates
- Liaising directly with trustees, professional advisers and other relevant parties
- Managing your own workflow and ensuring client work is completed accurately and within deadlines
- Delegating work to and supervising junior members of the team
The Candidate
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in trust accounting
- Knowledge of trust taxation, including an awareness of both onshore and offshore matters
- Experience preparing trust accounts and/or trust tax returns
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- The ability to delegate and supervise junior members of staff
Candidates from a broader accounting or taxation background will also be considered where their experience is transferable.
