This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA Qualified accountant (or an experienced Finalist) to take the next step in their career within a progressive firm that offers genuine opportunities for development and long-term progression.
The successful candidate will manage their own portfolio of clients, predominantly owner-managed businesses and SMEs, providing a high-quality service across accounts, tax, and advisory matters.
You will be responsible for reviewing financial statements, management accounts, personal tax returns, partnership accounts, and VAT returns, whilst acting as a key point of contact for your clients.
Alongside managing your own portfolio, you will support the development of junior team members through coaching, reviewing work, and allocating assignments.
There will also be opportunities to become involved in forecasting, business projections, and wider advisory projects as your career develops.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of owner-managed business and SME clients
- Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
- Preparing and reviewing partnership accounts and tax returns
- Reviewing and submitting VAT returns
- Attending client meetings and providing accounting and business advice
- Supervising, mentoring, and developing junior team members
- Assisting with advisory assignments, forecasting, and business projections where required
Skills
- ACA / ACCA Qualified (Finalists will also be considered)
- Previous experience managing a portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice
- Strong accounts and tax knowledge with experience reviewing work
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or Quick Books
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a growing practice
