Our client’s Tax Consultancy service line operates as a collaborative national team, supporting a diverse client base across multiple offices. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join their team in their Glasgow office.

The Role

This is a senior leadership position offering the opportunity to work closely with high-value clients while contributing to the strategic growth of the tax function.

  • Building strong relationships with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality Private Client Tax Advisory services
  • Leading client meetings and identifying new tax advisory opportunities
  • Providing proactive and strategic tax planning advice tailored to client needs
  • Managing a portfolio of advisory projects, including reviewing work completed by junior team members
  • Overseeing work in progress, ensuring effective recoveries and managing billing processes
  • Taking formal line management responsibility for Tax Managers, Seniors, and Trainees
  • Delivering technical tax training and supporting the development of colleagues across the wider firm
  • Acting as a key point of contact for ad hoc tax queries from across the business

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and commercially aware tax professional with strong leadership capabilities.

  • CTA qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Private Client tax role
  • Proven experience leading tax advisory projects
  • Strong technical knowledge, with experience in Agricultural Tax and Trusts considered advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and delivering an exceptional level of service
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams and locations
