A leading and rapidly growing accountancy and advisory firm is looking to recruit an experienced Corporate International Tax Senior Manager to join its established Corporate Tax team.

This is a senior opportunity offering significant exposure to complex UK and international tax advisory work, direct client relationships and leadership responsibility within an ambitious and expanding practice.

Working closely with the Head of Corporate Tax, you will help lead the successful delivery and continued development of the Corporate International Tax offering.

The firm's corporate client base includes entrepreneurial growth businesses, larger corporates, multinational groups, regulated businesses and AIM-listed PLCs across a broad range of sectors.

The Role

As Corporate International Tax Senior Manager, you will work with UK and international businesses on complex corporate tax matters, helping clients structure their affairs efficiently while ensuring their ongoing tax compliance requirements are met.

The position combines international and UK corporate tax advisory work, portfolio management, compliance oversight, client development and team leadership.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Advising UK and international clients on tax-efficient structures
  • Managing complex UK and international Corporate Tax matters
  • Developing trusted-adviser relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Working with international tax specialists across a global network
  • Managing Corporate Tax compliance services across a varied portfolio
  • Reviewing complex Corporation Tax returns and computations
  • Identifying tax planning and advisory opportunities
  • Managing client relationships and providing commercially focused tax advice
  • Working closely with the Head of Corporate Tax and other senior stakeholders
  • Supporting the continued development and growth of the Corporate International Tax offering

Alongside your client responsibilities, you will play an important role in developing the Corporate Tax team.

You will act as People Manager for approximately five members of staff and take responsibility for:

  • Managing and developing junior and qualified tax professionals
  • Allocating work across the team
  • Reviewing technical work
  • Conducting appraisals
  • Coaching and mentoring team members
  • Supporting professional and technical development
  • Monitoring workloads and deadlines
  • Helping create a collaborative and high-performing team environment

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have significant Corporate Tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice or professional services environment.

You will ideally have

  • CTA qualification or equivalent
  • Strong UK Corporate Tax knowledge
  • Significant Corporate Tax advisory experience
  • Exposure to international and cross-border tax matters
  • Experience managing complex corporate clients
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • Experience reviewing complex Corporation Tax work
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify advisory opportunities
  • Previous experience supervising, coaching or managing staff
  • The confidence to work closely with senior client stakeholders and Partners

Experience across areas such as Transfer Pricing, Double Tax Treaties, Permanent Establishments, Withholding Tax and CFCs would be particularly beneficial.
