We are recruiting for a leading accountancy and tax firm in Chippenham seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and develop their payroll function. This is a key role with full ownership of a diverse client payroll portfolio, combining hands-on payroll delivery, team leadership and high-level client support.
The role:
- Lead, mentor and develop the payroll team
- Manage weekly, fortnightly and monthly client payrolls
- Oversee CIS and auto-enrolment pension compliance
- Handle complex payroll calculations and statutory payments
- Provide expert payroll advice and support to clients
- Liaise with HMRC, pension providers and key stakeholders
- Drive efficiencies and improvements across the payroll function
About you:
You’ll have 3–5 years’ senior payroll experience, ideally within a multi-client environment, with strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation. CIPP qualification is advantageous, although significant practical experience will be considered. You’ll be a confident leader and communicator with excellent attention to detail and a strong client-focused approach. Experience with IRIS would be an advantage.
