Payroll Administrator - Cardiff
A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a busy and established payroll team in Cardiff.
You’ll be responsible for managing payrolls for a portfolio of clients, providing an accurate and reliable service while building strong relationships and dealing with day‑to‑day payroll queries.
The Role
- Process client payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including pensions and auto‑enrolment.
- Process statutory payments including SSP and SMP.
- Complete year‑end payroll reporting.
- Handle client payroll queries via telephone and email.
- Liaise with HMRC and third‑party providers.
- Carry out payroll checks and support the wider payroll team.
- Keep up to date with payroll legislation and industry changes.
About You
- At least
1 year's payroll experience , ideally within a payroll bureau or accountancy practice.
- Strong end-to-end payroll processing experience.
- Knowledge of pensions, statutory payments and auto‑enrolment.
- Confident manually calculating payroll.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and client service skills.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines in a busy environment.
