Recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a well-established and highly reputable independent firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an Audit Manager / Senior Auditor to their growing Audit team. This progressive firm are currently experiencing sustained growth and have an excellent reputation across the region, supported by modern offices, a strong leadership team, and a genuinely supportive culture.
The firm have a varied client base which includes OMBs, SME groups, and larger corporate clients across multiple sectors. As an Audit Manager / Senior Auditor, you will play a key role in the delivery of audit assignments and will be responsible for managing client relationships, leading engagements from planning through to completion, and supporting the development of junior team members.
The position will be heavily audit-focused and will involve the completion of audit fieldwork and statutory reporting under International Auditing Standards, as well as contributing to wider ad hoc projects such as forecasts, grant applications, and financial due diligence work. You will also take responsibility for managing budgets, WIP, billing, and client administration, ensuring work is delivered to the highest professional and technical standards.
The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified (or Part-Qualified with strong audit experience), and will have demonstrable experience within a UK Accountancy Practice environment. Experience of leading audit engagements and supervising junior staff is essential.
