Clark Wood is delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice that is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous accountancy practice experience who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and professional environment. The role is available on a full-time basis, although part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate. The position can be based from either the firm's Swindon or Calne office, with allocated parking available at the Swindon office.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and compilation of statutory accounts for a range of clients
- Reviewing accounts and financial information
- Preparation of company tax returns
- Preparation of self-assessment tax returns
- Liaising with clients and responding to queries
- Assisting with bookkeeping assignments where required
- Supporting senior team members with ad hoc accounting and tax work
Ideal candidate
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
- A good understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance
- Experience preparing company accounts and tax returns
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
- AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience candidates will all be considered
