Clark Wood are currently working with a leading and highly respected accountancy practice in Bristol who are looking to recruit a Corporate Tax Manager / Senior Manager to join their expanding tax team. This dynamic and forward-thinking firm has built an excellent reputation across the South West for delivering high-quality tax advice and outstanding client service.

Due to continued growth and increasing demand for their tax expertise, they are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager to play a pivotal role within the department. Working closely with the Tax Partners and Directors, you will be responsible for managing the corporate tax compliance function and ensuring the delivery of a first-class service to a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurial companies, and larger corporate groups.

You will oversee corporation tax compliance, review tax computations, manage tax accounting matters, and provide clients with proactive guidance on relevant tax developments. Alongside compliance responsibilities, the role offers significant exposure to advisory projects, including corporate restructures, acquisitions and disposals, group reorganisations, and wider tax planning assignments.

Depending on your level of experience, you may also take a lead role in business development, managing key client relationships, and supporting the strategic growth of the tax function. You will play an important role in mentoring and developing junior members of the team, helping to build technical expertise and support future growth within the department.

The ideal candidate will be CTA and/or ACA qualified (although strong qualified by experience candidates will also be considered), with a solid background in corporate tax compliance and experience managing teams within an accountancy practice environment. Candidates operating at either Manager or Senior Manager level will be considered. Strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships are essential.
