Salary: Circa £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience)

Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a leading firm of chartered accountants who are looking for an Accounts and Audit Senior in their Brierley Hill office. This distinguished firm has a fantastic reputation for delivering excellent levels of client service and they are now looking to add an ambitious individual to the team in Brierley Hill who is keen to progress their career with a well‑renowned firm.

The successful person will join a firm who are known for providing an excellent platform for each of their team member’s personal progression and development. Working as an Audit & Accounts Senior you will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. You will be client facing and will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development.

The role will see you leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a range of clients including group structured entities and large stand‑alone limited companies as well as the preparation and review of year‑end accounts and corporation tax returns.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives.
  • Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy.
  • Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion.
  • Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives.
  • Supervise and develop more junior members of staff.
  • Prepare year‑end accounts for limited companies.

  • ACCA / ACA Qualified or Finalist.
  • Experience of leading audit assignments.
