Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a leading UK accountancy & advisory group who are continuing to expand their Audit function in Birmingham, and are now looking to recruit an ambitious ACA / ACCA qualified Audit Senior.

This firm supports the SME market with a full service offering including Audit, Accounts & Advisory, Tax, Payroll, Corporate Finance and Business Recovery. As an Audit Senior, you will work across a broad portfolio of clients and sectors, supervising audit fieldwork, supporting junior team members, and acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout engagements. The firm is looking for someone confident, proactive, and keen to contribute ideas and continuous improvement.

Role Responsibilities

• Supervising audit teams and providing leadership, guidance and support to junior team members
• Acting as a key point of contact between clients and Managers during audits
• Ensuring audit files are prepared to a high standard in accordance with audit methodology
• Undertaking detailed technical audit work and supporting high‑quality service delivery
• Applying commercial awareness and initiative when handling complex audit matters

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA / ACCA Qualified
• Strong audit experience gained in a UK Accountancy Practice environment
• Confident communicator with strong client‑facing capability
• Experience supporting / supervising junior team members
• Motivated, proactive, and committed to excellent client service
