A highly reputable regional firm in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a talented ACA / ACCA Qualified Accounts & Audit Assistant Manager to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Suffolk's most established accountancy practices with a clear platform to progress into Management.
Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will have diverse general practice experience, including leading audit assignments for various clients, preparing accounts, and handling tax returns. This role offers a unique balance of general practice work, business advisory projects, accounts preparation, tax, and auditing tasks, positioning you well for future professional development. You will also gain exposure to a diverse client base, including SMEs, OMBs, and some international groups.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Advise owner-managed businesses on a range of accounts and business advisory matters
- Lead audit assignments from planning to conclusion, including staff supervision and client management
- Prepare tax computations and Corporation Tax returns (CT600)
- Prepare accounts for companies, groups of companies, partnerships, and LLPs, along with related tax computations
