Accounts Senior – Tarporley
£40,000 – £50,000 | Flexible Hours | Free Parking

An established firm of accountants in Tarporley is looking for an Accounts Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly technical and experienced practice accountant who enjoys working with SMEs and corporate groups while mentoring junior staff.

Role Overview:

This role will focus on the preparation and review of accounts for a diverse portfolio of businesses, including SMEs and corporate groups with turnovers up to £10m. You will be responsible for mentoring junior staff, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Prep aring and reviewing year-end accounts for SMEs and corporate groups.

Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practices.

Mentoring and supporting junior team members in their professional development.

Managing workflows and maintaining high levels of organisation.

Working with a variety of software, including CCH, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office.

Liaising with clients to provide advisory support and financial insights.

Requirements:

Extensive UK practice experience with strong technical accounting knowledge.

Qualified ACA / ACCA or qualified by experience.

Proficiency in CCH, Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks (preferred but not essential).

Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
